It’s 1942, and Britain is at war. Mary Docker, a single mother, fights for her own and her twin’s survival. The twins have their own problems. A rare genetic ‘miracle’ means one is black, one white. Their destinies lead them to opposite sides of the law, and conflict and betrayal.
Elsewhere in Birmingham, Patrick Quinn, a violent child of Irish descent, makes a deal with the devil, a deal that haunts him down the years and draws him and the twins into a cataclysmic showdown.
Set predominantly in the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies, in Birmingham, Ireland, New York and California, ‘Black Over Bill’s Mother’s’is a huge dose of nostalgia, history and culture. A fast moving and gripping story of a family falling apart, and Police, Hells Angels and gangs in a struggle for supremacy.
Incorporating real historical events and locations, imbued with Brummie language, police slang, music and culture of the times, this could be the next generation of Peaky Blinders.
This is a book to appeal to all lovers of historical fiction, family sagas and crime dramas.

‘Well I’ve just finished Black Over Bill’s Mother’s..OMG I literally; hated, admired and loved the character’s in this book it reminds me of Peaky Blinders ( although set at a slighty different time frame) and the Sons of Anarchy. I absolutely loved it; if there was a book i would love to see on Netflix it would be this one. A cracking good read; well written and worthy of coming onto our screens .. please go buy it you won’t be disappointed’
‘An exciting and thrilling storyline. The cut and thrust as the authors lead you through one intriguing plot into another and cleverly bring the whole riveting story together in the final pages. A storyline thats so enthralling you just don’t want to put it down. Looking forward to reading the authors sequel, ‘Keep Right On’..’

‘An interesting, dramatic, well researched book that kept me hooked over every page. The individual introductions of the unique characters and their coming together over the pages kept me guessing for the story twist which I never predicted, even to the last page. A very worthwhile read for anyone.’
