‘The protagonist,Danny, is fifteen when Ziggy lands on earth. I was fourteen, and going through very similar sexual awakenings, and have loved Bowie ever since. Fortunately, for me we came from different backgrounds, but I loved the story- both the ecstatic and the sad! Brought back so many memories. Yes, most enjoyable book I’ve read a quite a while.’

‘I really enjoyed this story of love, loss, regret and self forgiveness set against the backdrop of the 70’s and the rise of Bowie. The two main characters, Alice and Danny were beautifully written and reminded me of how it felt to be a teenager discovering myself with its highs and lows. I Ioved the sections which switched from the fictional(?) characters to fly- on-the wall periods with Bowie and how Danny was brought into this world.’
